Jet Ski Pilot

Jetskiing is a high-adrenaline water sport that I have loved doing for years, it combines the thrill of speed with the freedom of the open water, offering riders the chance to carve waves, explore coastlines, and enjoy solo or social adventures.

Evolving from simple stand-up models to today’s feature-packed machines, jetskis have become a symbol of fun, fitness, and lifestyle.

Whether you're racing, touring, or just enjoying the ride, jetskiing delivers a full-body workout, unbeatable views, and pure excitement.

With a strong community, growing competition scene, and travel potential, it’s more than a hobby—it’s a wet and wild passion.

Whilst being on the water is ok with me, I will admit I do have some reservations about being out in open water, several shark films have dismissed any feelings of safety when I'm floating neck deep in the water after I've fallen from the ski. It's a long slow swim back to the ski for me.

Modern 2-stroke and 4-stroke jetskis each offer distinct advantages, but the industry has largely shifted toward 4-stroke engines due to stricter environmental regulations and improved performance. 2-stroke jetskis are lighter, simpler, and often more nimble—making them ideal for tricks and freestyle riding—but they burn oil with fuel, making them less fuel-efficient and more polluting. In contrast, 4-stroke jetskis are cleaner, quieter, and more fuel-efficient, with smoother power delivery and lower emissions, making them better suited for longer rides, family use, and reliability. While 2-strokes still have a loyal fan base for their punchy acceleration and simplicity, modern 4-stroke models dominate the market with advanced tech, eco-friendliness, and overall ride comfort.

Why I Love Jetskiing

  • Speed Thrills: There’s nothing quite like punching the throttle and skimming across the water like a skipping stone.

  • Anywhere, Anytime: Ocean, lake, river—jetskis are as versatile as they are fast.

  • Solo or Social: Cruise alone for peace and quiet, or ride with friends in a convoy of high-speed fun.

  • Beginner-Friendly: Most modern models are user-friendly, even for first-timers.

  • Full-Body Workout: Jetskiing engages your core, arms, and legs, all while you're having way too much fun to notice

  • Rescue Platform: I have helped/rescued my fair share of wayward kite surfers and boaties over the years.

This page is a legacy of things I have done and want to do and think on. It is work in progress and is nowhere near complete. There's still lots to come!!
